I was just wondering if any body had any tips on checking really young puppies for conformation.  Some of it is self explanatory I know but like the chest part not sure about that how do you tell when they are so young?  Any help would be appreciated.

Zina, I feel your best bet is to look at the pups parents. A tall dog bred with a short dog are not going to creat a medium dog. You get ones who look like mom and ones who look like dad. If you are trying to find a certain look your best bet is to pick a pup where you like both mom and dad. When choosing your pup, if you see one who is taller than it's litter mates most likely it will end up taller like the parent. This also goes for chest, noses, etc. I ofen like to wait till the pup is at least 4 weeks old and longer if at all possible. The longer the better. Hope this helps!
